“The biggest difference for me this time around was the fact that I had personal experiences and relationships with both Gabby and Rachel as I was there during the Clayton season. It was incredibly emotional and heartbreaking and heartbreaking for them, but I saw the unwavering support they gave each other.

“While hosting these shows, you wear a lot of different hats. I think from the beginning what was a little different was that I wore a little more of a fan hat for those two. I am such a big fan of Rachel and Gabby. I want them to be happy. I want them to find their man. It was probably a big difference, at least early on.”

“In many ways, it feels different. It is clear that the format is very different. It’s so much fun to see the whole cast though. It’s hard to keep track of, but it’s interesting to follow different love stories, different love triangles, who comes in and who goes out,” he explains. Bbut the former NFL star admits the sense of closeness still lingers.

“While as a show host you have to remain impartial, at the end of the day, I just want people to find love and be happy in the end. So when Clayton finds Susie or Gabby and Rachel hopes to find her man, it’s no different than it was in Paradise‘, says Palmer. “Right now I see myself looking at different actors and just hoping this relationship survives all the drama and all the chaos that people inevitably find here on the beach. It’s the same, only much more.”
