Now we know how many jobs Novartis is cutting, and it’s no small number.
Pharmaceutical giant confirms Swiss newspaper report Tages-Anzeiger that it is cutting 8,000 jobs from its 108,000 full-time employees worldwide. A large segment will be affected right at the company’s headquarters in Basel as CEO Vas Narasimhan cuts about 1,400 of just over 11,000 jobs in Switzerland.
